The Portuguese manager, who has a reputation for being a short term boss, admitted he’d sign a contract extension without thought.

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, has admitted that the money the Chinese leagues can offer is tempting but insisted he loves his job and would sign a new deal without hesitating at all.

However, the former Real Madrid man did admit that he wasn’t expecting a deal anytime soon. When speaking about the board offering a new contract he said, “They didn’t! And I’m not expecting them to do that, because they gave me a three-year contract.”.

United fans all over should be excited about Mourinho loving his current situation and willing to build a long term project. He’s notorious for being a short term manager, having never stayed at a club for more than 4 years.

It should excited the Red Devils supporters that a world class manager is expecting to stay longer than his initial 3 year contract. Let’s not forget Mourinho was the only manager to stop the best Barcelona team in recent history from winning a La Liga title.

The Manchester United board have done well themselves, with Mourinho saying, “They are being super supportive with me, and always gave me the feeling that three years is not the time I am going to stay here, I always had the feeling that I am going to stay for more time.”.

And Mourinho has returned the support saying, “They know that I’m loving it, at every level, I’m loving my job at Manchester United, and they know that if one day they bring the contract, I will sign it, I don’t even need my advisers, I’ll sign because I am loving it.”

Should Mourinho stay beyond his initial 3 year contract, United fans would have plenty to rave about as his current team have recently shown their potential. Everyone has the feeling that he is building something big at Old Trafford and only time will tell if that happens.
